Volunteering at TOFC

Join us!

1)      Scroll down to fill out the Volunteer Interest Form.

2)      TOFC will e-mail you an official application.

3)      Fill out and submit the application.

4)      TOFC will review your application and, with your permission, will run a background check. If applicable, we will verify your medical credentials, and send you information to sign up for the Volunteer and Retired Providers Program (VRP). This program covers malpractice insurance for certain credentialed healthcare volunteers.

5)      Our volunteer coordinator will contact you to let you know your application was approved, and to schedule you for a shadow shift. You must complete two shadow shifts.

Important Notes:

  • We are humbled and grateful that so many community members are interested in volunteering with TOFC. Due to increased interest, and limited shifts, there may be a waitlist for certain volunteer positions. We will be transparent with you about these timelines throughout the process.

  • We kindly ask that you do not show up to volunteer until you get approval from our volunteer coordinator. Unfortunately, we cannot accept volunteers on a "walk-in basis."

  • Due to the training needed to onboard volunteers, we require a commitment of at least three months (unless you are interested in completing a one-time project, etc). If you cannot commit to three or more months for standard volunteer shifts, we still invite you to fill out the interest form.

For questions about our volunteer program, please contact Devan at coordinator@theolympiafreeclinic.org.

“Many individuals unfortunately fall through the cracks in our healthcare system. Healthcare is a human right, and I’m proud to volunteer at TOFC! It’s truly rewarding to see how my role here can directly benefit my community.”

-Kristine, PharmD

“The Olympia Free Clinic embodies the essence of compassionate healthcare, ensuring everyone has access to quality, dignified care, regardless of their circumstances. Volunteering here not only reaffirms my dedication to serving the most vulnerable in our community but also enables me to establish meaningful connections with underserved patients and fellow volunteers alike.”

-Kim Ha Wadsworth, DO
